The return trip will take us through the famous Val Gardena, passing by Ortisei, where we will have a final coffee break before heading back to Bolzano.

From Bolzano, we head to the colorful Lake Carezza, where we admire its colors and the reflection of the Latemar mountain. We continue to the Karerpass (Passo Carezza) for a short stop to view the Rosengarten (Catinaccio) and the Alps. We drive into the Fassa Valley, passing Vigo, Pozza, Canazei, up to the north face of the Pordoi under the Sella and Sassolungo massifs. Here we walk to the waterfall and visit the marmots living under the rocks. Afterwards, we drive to the Sella Joch (Passo Sella) and park the car to start our circular hike. A very beautiful, special hike through rocks, plants, flowers, herbs, larch, and pine trees. In forty minutes, we hike to the famous Rifugio Comici, located under the mighty Sassolungo, to enjoy good local food. Fresh and strengthened, our hike continues clockwise back to the car. We continue by car into the Gardena Valley to St. Ulrich (Ortisei) and take a coffee break in this beautiful picturesque village. After that, we drive into the Eisack Valley (Valle Isarco) and back to Bolzano.

From Bolzano, we will travel by car through the Puster Valley to Toblach (Dobbiaco) and take the toll road via Misurina up to Rifugio Lavaredo. From there, we will start our hike around the Three Peaks (Tre Cime), the absolute icon of the Dolomites.
At midday, we will stop at the Dreizinnenhütte (Rifugio Locatelli) to enjoy traditional dishes and the stunning view of the north faces. Afterward, we will continue hiking back to our vehicle. The drive home, our next highlight, will take us over the most beautiful and well-known Dolomite passes.
An impressive, long day filled with wonderful insights into the landscape, nature, and our Dolomites will then come to an end. The pure walking time around the peaks is approximately three hours. If you prefer, I can make the hike much shorter, while still enjoying the view of the north faces.

From Bolzano, it’s about a two-hour drive through the val pusteria into the valle di Braies to the stunning Lago di Braies.
A truly special place, surrounded by the towering Dolomites. We park our car and set off on our walk around the lake, going clockwise. The crystal-clear water and the surroundings are mesmerising, tempting us to stop and take photos. After an hour, we turn left and after a further twenty minutes, we reach the Grünwaldalm, where we have lunch and treat ourselves to some typical Tyrolean specialities. Happily we walk back to the lake and on to our car. The return journey takes us via Bruneck or to the monastery Neustift where we stop for a coffee break. Filled with the joy of this lovely day we set off on our return journey to Bolzano.

From Bolzano, we head to the Val di Funes (Villnöss Valley) toward St. Magdalena and Zanser Alm. From there, we take a leisurely two-hour hike along the Adolf Munkel Trail toward the Geisler Alm or Gnofenhart Alm. Once there, we enjoy the famous “Dolomites Cinema,” a stunning panoramic view of the Geisler Dolomites. We will have lunch at one of these mountain huts, where we will be treated to local specialties. After a relaxing break, we hike back to Zanser Alm in about an hour.
